How successful can we all truly feel with people wrapped in crusty blankets, sleeping next to entrances where billionaires party and throw out their trash? How much honest celebration can we all truly have if others are in pain and in suffering?
I ask these questions because we must bring awareness to these pressing issues. It is our solemn duty to take action. I don’t really know what that looks like most days, but I know this is not okay.
I’m not okay with the way we do business here. I’m not okay with the lies and the misinformation spread like cancerous disease. I’m not okay with the majority of us being okay with the lack of empathy we have for fellow human kind.
Today, this moment, and in the present arrival, we are obligated to do our best to push against these crimes against ourselves. I encourage you to be better than you were a moment ago. We can do this, all together.
